I was nervous to buy it because some of the reviews but for the price, I figured why not. I must sayโฆ I have no regrets. It worked perfect for me. No streaks or anything. I made sure to follow the instructions as to not add too much of the product and havenโt had any issues the past few months Iโve been using it.

I’ve been buying this stuff for many, many years. It is a great additive and so much easier to use (add to your windshield wiping fluid), compared to the older method of spraying it on your clean windshield then buffing it in.Very effective, and if you drive in the rain often– you will understand and appreciate the before and after. It is a night and day difference.

I did read some complaints that this stuff can leave smears and stuff and worried about that, but due to financial concerns thought this would be far more efficient than buying Rain-X spray over and over so decided to take a risk and try it. My own results have been pretty good. I don’t see any smearing or anything like that. It basically Just Works(tm). One thing of note is that it is supposed to be measured and the correct amount put in depending on how much water it’s being mixed in. I suspect that many who have seen streaks and such may have put in too much. Most cars don’t hold anywhere near to a gallon, but the instructions for measuring are meant for one gallon, so you have to divide appropriately. Much easier is just to take a gallon jug, fill it with a cleaner or distilled water and then just mix that way so you don’t have to do any math or careful measuring and have more of the cleaner for later besides. Use up whatever is in the car, and then just pour the new mixture in.I have also mixed this into a small spray bottle with an appropriately smaller amount mixed in and it seems to work ok. This effectively gives me a Rain-X spray at a far lower cost. It is less effective this way than the real spray, but it seems to get the job done fairly well all the same.

At first, I couldn’t believe this would work as an additive, no more that they recommend using, but so far, it has performed great. Yes I did apply a base coat to my windshield, per instructions. For the last month my windshield has beaded up and worked fine. I heartily recommend this product.

Rather than spray on, I add this to the wiper fluid reservoir, and it lasts the season.
