Never let your radiator system overheat with the VP Racing Fuels Radiator Systems Temperature Decrease Cool Down 3-pack. Cool Down improves the performance of your coolant and is safe for all radiator systems. The coolant is ideal for racing, street, RV and tow vehicle applications. It reduces cylinder head temperatures up to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Cool Down increases coolant flow for better heat transfer, lubricates all vital components and is approved by most race sanctioning bodies. One 16 oz. bottle treats cooling systems of 12-20 quarts. For straight water applications, an additional 50% more Cool Down is recommended while diesel applications require twice the normal amount. Treatments last for one year or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Cool off radiator systems fast with the Cool Down 16 Oz Retail Bottle. NOTE: This container is solely intended for use with non-fuel or non-kerosene products and must not be used to transport fuel or kerosene. So I tried this out in my Yamaha R1 and didn’t notice any difference. Burped then system and have ridden it a few times since then with no noticeable difference in running temp. Didn’t record the head temps before and after so don’t know if that changed.

Though VP radiator treatment did not prevent “MJ500”, my ’75 Ranchero 500 with 460 cui from overheating and breaking down, we couldn’t have gone belly up in a nicer location than a small riding school and stables in the country. It’s ust a lovely place to relax and think “pleasant thoughts” while the engine ticks away hypnotically in the backround.I first tested VP by idling in my driveway for 20 minutes or so. It did seem to work under no load conditons in the driveway. When the rubber met the road and MJ500 and I wound up in a road construction line up for 5 minutes, the VP failed and we were running at ~205 degrees Fahrenheit. The engine died, and I cursed my luck while pushing MJ off the road into the nearest driveway. Lo and behold amazing Beaucolia awaited! Thanks to VP I have spent a wonderfully relaxing afternoon luxuriating in the country while waiting for the motor to cool down enough to drive.Hence the two (2) star rating. VP did not function well enough for me to avoid overheating. However it did provide quite a relaxing day in the country. So, if you are desireous of a calm and restorative day in the country, try VP radiator treatment if for no other reason than to cool your jets and your psyche.
