I have a full sized Toyota Tundra Pickup truck, with a V8 engine. because of the price of gas I started filling up when I get to half a tank, alternating between 87 (E10) “Regular” gas with a half tank of the 88 (E15) gas, my truck is a 2021 and it says that E15 is fine for the ruck but I did notice a slight decrease in mileage. A co-Worker, who also has a V8, a full sized SUV told me about this product as a treatment for the E15 gas. while I have used Sta Bil for lawnmower gas, I never thought to use it in my truck. so I started using it. I soon saw an increase in about 2.2 to 2.5 MPG, which might not seem like much, but it’s a V8, and it’s about 13.5 city and about 17.6 to 18 Highway. doing the math, after I buy the E15 and the product, I STILL come out ahead about 5.5 to 6 dollars a tank, not much, but that is about an extra gallon or two of gas that I can buy with the same amount of money. I see the same increase with Regular 87 gas as well! I am not saying you will see similar results, but I know what I see, and that Is why I am buying it. it makes a differenc!

If you want your 2 cycle engines to run cleaner and last longer than this treatment is a MUST. With the Ethanol that is used in Gasoline these days it reeks havoc especially on small 2 cycle engines. I mix STA-BIL Treatment With Amsoil Synthetic for my 2 cycle gas which makes my 2 cycle lawn equipment engines to have more power and longevity. So yes it is more expensive up front using STA-BIL+ Amsoil Synthetic vs. only using a cheaper 2 cycle oil but in the long run it means less tune ups and longer engine life which saves you much more TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY!

In 2020 and 2021 I drove less than 1,000 miles each year. In 2022 it’s about the same, except I did two multi-day roadtrips. In other words, my Mazda sits in the garage a lot and mostly does only local trips. From the anecdotal stories I’ve read and the formal testing I’ve seen, Sta-Bil seems like good, inexpensive insurance as protection against ethanol-induced problems. (Well, Sta-Bil AND keeping my tank at least half full when I’m not traveling.) For me, the 10 oz size is reasonable and inexpensive. With a 5-year shelf life once opened, it should not be a problem to use it all while still fresh enough. The only problem with the 10 oz size is the easy-pour bottle, as it’s too easy to pour too much into the tank. After my first time adding 3.5 oz when I only needed 2.5 oz, I decided to use a measuring tube. 30ml and 50ml centrifuge “test tubes” work great. Also, they make it easy to keep a pre-measured dose with you when traveling or on the way to the gas station. DIY tip: The coolest, most compact funnel I’ve found is to cut the base off an empty 10 oz bottle and use that. Two centrifuge bottles (and a few paper towels) can store inside it to make a tidy package for travel. (I know what you are thinking: buy an 8 oz “measuring bottle” the first time, then refill it from 10 oz bottles when it’s empty. It’s an excellent idea if the spout on the bottle gets along well with the filler hole for your tank.) Thumbs up for Sta-Bil!

I am 63 – and I got tired of carburetors ruined by ethanol on everything I owned including my 1970 Dodge Challenger My 1981 Suzuki GS650G with four carburetors- that got so bad I actually sold it. Then I learned about Sta-Bil. No more gummed up carburetors. Period. I also went to buying alcohol free gasoline for all my small gas powered equipment (three chainsaws, two string trimmers, log splitter, plate compactor, Two portable on the EU 2000 I generators and a Lincoln welder generator and more- but I still add Sta-Bil. This was purchased for my daughter for an impending hurricane, but the address defaulted on my order and I ended up with it. No complaints. If you buy gasoline and don’t use it in five minutes, you need Sta-Bil!!!

I have been using Sta-Bil for over 50 years. Never had a problem. Back in the day when carburetors on smaller engines would clog up in the tiny ports or bypass channels this stuff kept them clean and working. Use it in the fall and the next spring everything started and ran like it was supposed to. Still working just as well today on snow blowers or lawnmowers, leaf blowers and chain saws. The price has gone up but it is still worth it. Mechanics rates have gone up faster in respect to the price of Sta-Bil.

I use this I’m my mowers for winter storage. Keeps the gas from going bad over the winter. I would suggest putting this in the tank then using the machine for a little bit to get it mixed and in the carburetor.
