Basically, this stuff is hard to find in stock, at the time you need it, locally. I do not need it often, but it is usually so late in the snowmobile season when I do, I cannot find it locally as it has all been bought up. So off to Amazon I go, there it was at the price point I was looking at. I have been using this type of synthetic oil in my machine for 20 years now. Not a single complaint from me.
