I have a ’01 Grand Prix 3.1 that has some noticeable valve clicking until the car warms up and then it’s pretty quiet. I tried Sea Foam SF-16 first and nothing changed so. Based on reviews and a pretty reasonable cost, I thought this might be worth a shot but I haven’t noticed any changes after several months of use. The mileage is unknown but I would guess it to be near 100,000 and I don’t drive it much so perhaps I’m not patient enough or it needs a third application. Perhaps I’ll give some Bar’s Engine Treatment for High-Mileage Engines a shot at the next oil change. My best guess after about 50+ years of doing my own repairs is it’s mechanical and needs some valve work to silence it but it doesn’t leak and/or burn oil and it stops making noise after it warms up so I’ll live with it rather than pop a valve cover and likely cause another problem. I purchased it just to quiet those valves and it didn’t seem to do anything so that’s why I have the 3-stars though that’s pretty arbitrary based on my limited experience with it. it’s probably doing something of value in the crankcase if nothing more than cleaning off some crud so OK is the best I can do since it didn’t do what I purchased it to do though experiences do seem to vary widely based on the reviews.

Have a ’17 Kia Soul with the two liter gdi engine. If I use syn blend Valvoline white bottle 5w30 it will probably burn through a quart and a half of oil. With Super Tech (same as Amazon-WPP) 5w30 there’s noticeable use but probably less than a quart on a 5K mile OCI. Rislone seems to slow down the burning with the Valvoline and stop it with the ST. I think the engine sounds quieter too but that might be mind over matter. Will buy it again.Update- Used QS basic oil (probably SP, would guess about 50+% group III). Added a quart of QS 5w30 synthetic. Was burning at a rate of one quart for every couple thousand miles, typical for a Hyundai or Kia direct injection engine. Added (again) the high mileage Rislone and it seems to have stopped oil burning. Also sounds quieter, although I’m always suspicious of claims that haven’t been scientifically verified. I continue to be happy with this product.

One day after the drive chain warranty expired on my Chevrolet truck I had a lifter stop working. It was on and of over the next few days getting worse. The alternative was to have a mechanic pull the lifter and replace it or hope it would stop knocking on its own. Neither was inexpensive or practical. I searched several products on line then talked to a friend of mine who was a retired mechanic. He recommended this product. I couldn’t find it locally so I ordered it from Amazon. I pulled out sixteen ounces of oil from the motor then added the Rislone. The lifter seemed to quiet down after a short drive and after a longer drive the next day I could no longer hear it at all. I was three hundred miles from an oil change so I drove it till then without ever hearing the lifter again. The oil change seemed to show extremely duty oil being drained out and the lifter noise is gone. I would recommend trying it if your having a similar problem, a lot less expensive than the mechanic. This truck is not an high mileage vehicle with only forty three thousand miles and have always used a high grade oil.

I use it at every oil change so I replace it as I use it but for 10 weeks Risolone hasn’t shipped my orders, have had to cancel both orders because they’re 6 and 10 weeks late yet they keep selling what they obviously don’t have in stock.IF you can get it delivered it’s well worth trying if you have an older engine that’s been using conventional or blend. Use full synthetic and add this, you’ll be amazed at how well this levels your engine out
