RED TEK ProAir12, an a/c performance enhancer from Thermofluid Technologies, is a formulated performance treatment designed to enhance cooling properties of new and older air conditioning and refrigeration systems by reducing mechanical friction up to 1500%. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This product cannot be returned to Amazon.com because it uses flammable liquids and gases, is classified as a hazardous material, or meets other criteria. This is a non refundable, non returnable product.
- Operation: Easy to use. Installs in minutes. ProAir12 contains a highly polar molecule that works synergistically with compressor oil to improve the performance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems by increasing heat transfer in the condenser and evaporator coils. ProAir12’s polarized molecule bonds to the metal inside the system by removing the insulated buildup of oil and forming a conductive layer to improve heat transfer.
- Lower Cost: Saves money by reducing overall power consumption and improving heat transfer in the condenser and evaporator coils.
- Compatibility: Compatible with most common refrigeration materials and lubricants including R134a, R12, metal components, mineral and synthetic(Ester and PAG) lubricants, seals, gaskets, hoses, compressors, and o-rings.
- Environment: Saves energy by reducing mechanical friction. Energy savings up to 10%.
- Safety: Safe and easy to use. Does not contain harmful known carcinogens.

I’m updating this review. After about 2 days, the fridge would not cool properly. I measured the pressure in the compressor low side. With the compressor running, it was too high. With the compressor not running, it was VERY high. I basically had to drain most of the gas out of my compressor and refill with refrigerant to get things running properly. I’m sorry I used this product at all.——old review——– I have an old sub zero. Recently charged it with R12a. It was cooling fine. When I saw this, decided to try it.There’s nothing in the page on Amazon telling you how to use it.The can says it’s equivalent to 2 OZ of coolant. It also says to put it in before adding coolant. But mine already had coolant. So I measured the pressure on the low side, then drained some in a plastic bag to take outside, and added this. I got the same pressure after adding this.So I was a little worried because for about an hour, the fridge got warmer. So I let out some more pressure, turned off the thermostat and waited a minute. Then turned it on.Now, after a few hours, fridge is cooling perfectly. The difference seems to be how hot the compressor is getting. It’s running cooler. It’s still warm, which it should be, but it’s measuring 10 to 15 degrees cooler on my laser temp gauge. So far so good.
