Bought this for our older 5hp 2-cycle Mercury outboard. It was dead easy to install and sure beats hauling out and filling up a trash can to rinse out the motor.

Attach a short section of water hose and a female hose connection to the fitting and you are ready to start flushing the engine. The quality of the fitting is very good since its a Quicksilver part. I’m not particularly impressed with the design, but it functions as designed.

Tohatsu 5HP – proper fit and worked well

Fits my Tohatsu 6 hp perfectly. Attached a length of garden hose and easily flushed the cooling system. Thereβs no way to tighten with a wrench so you have to carefully use pliers without damaging the fitting. Didnβt realize it came with two fittings, but at least I have a spare!

Doesn’t have threads for attaching garden hose. You’ll need to adapt it to your application. Fit’s my new Tohatsu 9.8

I have both honda and mercury outboard motors. For that the Honda version fits mercury 4 hp 1993 motor and you don’t have to hack up a garden hose like you have to do with this fitting. Did not use this one and sent it back.
