Excellent replacement for genuine Land Rover ACE and power steering fluid.Replaced the power steering and ACE fluid in my Discovery-II. Quieted the whining from the pumps and is working great โฆ at 1/3 the price of genuine LR fluid and 1/2 the price of other alternatives (pentosin). $11.50 per quart (at the case price), delivered to my door, is a great deal.

My 2007 Volvo S80 power steering pump started making groaning noises on turns. Suspecting that a well-meaning, but ignorant, mechanic may have topped off the reservoir with the wrong fluid, I replaced the contaminated fluid with this product. I was hoping it would make the noise less irritating, but was blown away when it completely eliminated it. Steering is also much more responsive. It has been several months now and still no noise. I will only use this product from now on

I originally bought this because it listed both Chrysler MS-5931, and Volvo CHF 11s certification. Having one fluid for both cars makes my life easier. I finally did some digging around, and the Pentosin website says that while the CHF11s spec can be mixed with CHF202 it should never be mixed with CHF 7.1, or any hydraulic fluid. Lo and behold this same bottle has CHF 7.1 on the spec list. I also looked closer, and the Ford number crosses to Mercon V, plus it lists ATF +4. Both of those are transmission hydraulic fluids, and are incomparable with the GM numbers listing mineral power steering fluid (not to mention the MS-5931 I bought it for).Basically this magical fluid is, and is not hydraulic and mineral oil while simultaneously sporting additive packages that cannot be mixed. There are multiple car maker TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) warning against mixing fluids during service.

Far cheaper than most proper European formulas and it works great! I’ve even tested it in some rather extreme cold starts. Plus it’s made in the USA!
