Long story short I had a Mini Cooper S that developed a coolant leak. It was not a hard problem to fix but in the mean time I had to drive for around a week before I would be able to fix the car all while making sure I had enough coolant in the recovery tank. BMW OEM coolant (what Mini uses since that is who owns the company) is not that expensive online but dealerships can apply a healthy markup that sometimes just feels like they are robbing you. I considered buying some coolant from the parts store but all they had was universal or some blue OE coolant for about 30% more than what I could get online. This stuff meets all BMW OE specs and 50/50 so you just pour it right in. So really if you could wait a day or two it is worth while going with Peak. That being said I did notice some coolant under the cap and some dried out coolant on the bottle. Place your orders accordingly so that if it does leak nothing else will be exposed to the coolant. Amazon packing can and does leave something to be desired and they will toss anything in that box which does include consumables like drinks…which is the last thing you want covered in coolant.
