My car key entry ( no auto open) was covered with ice in the parking lot both doors.It was 10 degrees no one In site, no place to warm ,freezing ,could not get into carI had this De ice unit in my brief case took it out sprayed the lock outside and inside ,it was immediately defrosted OMG got in started and turn heater onA life saver .i have 12 of these ,gave them out for Christmas to my kids and relatives

This product has enabled us to access our garage again after the weather took its toll on the lock. After our keys would not turn in the lock, a few squirts of this lubricant solved that problem. And before keyless locks we used this product in the past to help de-ice a car door after sleet covered the keyhole. I have used this to lubricate hardware on our casement windows which are notorious for failures of the handles and cranking mechanism. I noticed immediate ease of movement and have started regular ‘maintenance’ of these windows which take much abuse from the elements while open.

We live on the high prairie between water and the mountains, where we get something called ‘freezing fog.’ Well freezing fog permeates everything, and freezes the locks on my old car. All of them. Can’t get in. I would have to put a lighter to a key and patiently unfreeze a lock. So I got this stuff, sprayed it in a lock on a wet frozen night, and it worked right away. Like immediately. Which was awesome.Then that car was totaled and I have a brand new car, which this doesn’t seem to happen to. But I still carry it just in case, and am getting one for my husband’s car. ~ShayEDIT: Our community mailboxes are keyed and ours froze this past winter. This De-Icer worked great to get into it.
