   Wix filters provide superior filtration with robust construction..go read about them…for those who have outgrown Fram and Purolator. The price here ($!2+) is outrageously high, though.

   Tore apart this WIX and a Jaguar OEM filter for a Jag XJ6. The Jag branded filter was so superior I was shocked. It had twice the filter media as the WIX, was a little longer, had a better bypass valve, had better quality construction with heavier metals for can and base. Always thought WIX was good but very disappointed. Baldwin for this application was even worse than the WIX. Hastings was the exact same filter as Baldwin. The USA FRAM was the worst in all respects while the European FRAM made in Italy was good and is the same exact filter as the Jag OEM. Hengst was a very good filter almost up to the Jag OEM filter.

   I use these on my 1983 Jaguar XJ6 4.2l motor. Always happy with Wix quality (Wix – please don’t cheapen out! Keep these good quality and we’ll keep buying!).So far now issues at all – fit perfectly, work well, etc.
