I began using this oil in my 1986 Camaro IROC Z with over 120K last year. Since the car was at around 87K it developed the famous bow tie salute aka oil blow by on start up. I’ve probably tried every major brand of motor oil in my SBC and all of them still gave me consumption. Since I’ve switched to Valvoline High Mileage, the blow by is less frequent (now only happens when my car sits for a few days in a row versus every start up) and I only lose 1 quart of oil after about 2500 miles (I was losing 1 quarter after 1000 miles before). No need for anymore additives.If you own a high mileage Small Block Chevy powered vehicle, I highly recommend.

My family has owned several vehicles with 200,000+ miles on them and have used Valvoline High Mileage synthetic blend in all of them at 5K intervals with minimal oil leaks and never an oil related failure. I’m currently driving an 05 Toyota with 280k and don’t see why it won’t make 300K. I recently replaced the valve cover seal (photo) and inside the engine was amazingly clean and free of deposits. I would recommend this oil to anyone with 75,000 or more miles on their older vehicle or the full synthetic version for newer high mileage vehicles.

Recently bought a 160k mile 2az-fe 2004 Camry that usually has a blue puff of smoke on cold start, seems to indicate valve stem seal issues, which are not an easy fix on these cars. After 3000 miles with this oil it has improved considerably which is more than can be said for the previous 2 oil changes. Valvoline seems to know something about mixing a “high mileage” oil.

This oil keeps up with the abuse of the desert heat here in Las Vegas. It doesn’t burn or leak oil anymore. This oil is very high in value to price. Very good synthetic blend. I would trust this oil for at least 5000 miles plus. I use this product with puralator BOSS oil filter. Great combo for jeep 4.0

This is my go to oil now for 20 years, on every vehicle. It makes a difference on any engine, especially really high mileage ones. I have several vehicles with WELL over 300,000 miles, and this oil combined with Lucas oil stabilizer makes them all run just as good and quiet as any newer car. Of course other maintenance has to be kept up with as well, but this oil is a must!!
