It was thicker than I thought it would be but it seems to work well. Sticks to whatever you put on it. Very slippery, and I actually now prefer it over the Hoppe’s oil I’ve been using in the past. Maybe in the future I’d like to see lucas come out with a slightly lighter grease, just because this one is very thick. I can’t think of a good comparison to its thickness/viscosity. Don’t judged me for this comparison, but its probably just a little thicker than bacon grease thats cooled enough to solidify. Lucas being primarily an automotive oil company, the lube smells like an automotive garage. I don’t mean the auto garage in a sketchy area of town that smells like sweat, cheap soap, and questionable carne asada. I mean that good, clean high end car dealership automotive garage. If you don’t know what that smells like, it’s an oddly comforting smell and you’ll know exactly what that smells like if you wind up getting this. If you’re a car guy you’ll love it.

Great stuff! I just recently started using grease on my new 1911 instead of oil because it doesnβt run off when store vertically or fling off when being fired! Great for my Patrol Rife which is always held vertically in the rack in the car all day and then in a safe at night. With regular oil you would have to lube it more often even though it hardly ever even gets a round chambered in it, but with the grease it stays put! And doesnβt run at all! I definitely recommend trying this if you have a vehicle mounted rifle thats getting bounced around all day. Iβll definitely be buying more in the near future!!!

this grease is hardcore! I bought it to grease the slide on my 1911. I don’t doubt the integrity of the grease as I know it works. The only thing I don’t like is the color — wish it was clear. I’m sure I’ll find many other uses for it in the shop as well. I recommend Lucas Gun Oil and the CLP.

Great grease for firearms.

Tacky but wet, excessive grease does not get worked out of rails. Iβve checked. Great on tight match grade barrel bushings and new and older gun rails. Expensive for how much you get is the down fall doesnβt seem worth it compared to other products in the same price range.Love their extreme gun oil though.

I bought this for my AR15 since my Lucas brand oil wasnβt gona cut it for AR bolts and moving parts. Hard to compare it to anything since itβs my first, but I have had great luck with this brands gun oil and so far it definitely helps the bolt action feel smoother and less stiff. Seems to stay put on the applied places pretty well too. Does have a blue color just fyi.

The title sums it up. Iβve had a few wear points on various firearms and this grease has stopped the progression of wear from friction
