Before buying make sure your truck is not included in the Ford extended service coverage to 120K miles for certain years. My model year was not in that additional coverage when my DEF heater failed. Product worked as described and check engine light turned off and has not came back on with over 2K miles so far since install. Total install time was about 2.5 hours. Hardest part was removing the skid plate then disconnecting and dropping the DEF tank to slide out from under truck. Helps to get your spare tire out of the way so you can see on top of DEF tank to undo the clips holding the wires and hoses. I did not remove the filler line from tank just from side of truck and feed it through to slide out tank. Just be sure not crimp the lines when reinstalling the tank.

Update: 13 months after installation the thing has failed. You get what you pay for.Why pay $300 for motorcraft parts. You know they’re all made in China. Seems to be working fine, fixed my code. Only time will tell for certain.

So far so good (Knock on wood). Everything is as advertised. Bolted right up to my 2015 f250. After install I drive from Southern California to Salt Lake City and had zero issues. I would recommend it for sure.

I purchased this unit in Feb 2012 for my 2015 F250. The product bolted right in and cleared my CEL right away. Now in March of 2021, the CEL is back on the for the same code (P20BA). The repair wasn’t too bad, but was hoping it would last more than this… Perhaps the Ford unit will provide better longevity.

Just installed so this isnโt a long term review. All the pieces were included – thatโs a good thing. Ford want $350 for the part(made in Czech Republic). This was a third of that. Hopefully it will last longer than the OEM part.

I purchased this DEF Heater P/N BC3Z5J225KA Reductant Heater in Feb 2021 and installed it in my F250. Everything worked as billed until the end of Dec 2021. My F250 Ford Truck threw another check-engine light with the same code as last February code P20BA failure of reductant heater. it made it 10 month,

This part was installed by my friend who is a trained mechanic but not a mechanic by trade. It’s his hobby. He had the defective one out and this new one in in about two hours. He just told me what part to order and he did the rest, so I can’t give any technical advice on it. My check engine light has not come back on and my truck passed it’s smog test. I’m in California where we have to have our diesel vehicles smogged. This part is effective.
