- β APPLICATIONS – POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser should be diluted with hot water. Four parts water to one part Cleaner Degreaser (4:1) works well for most jobs; but may be diluted up to ten parts water to one part Cleaner Degreaser (10:1). After using Cleaner Degreaser rinse the area thoroughly with water. Metal Surfaces cleaned with Cleaner Degreaser should always then be treated with POR-15 Metal Prep before painting.

This is the go to degreaser when you plan on using the POR-15 rust preventive coating. Dissolve 1 part degreaser into 4 parts water, then brush on or spray on, let sit 10-15 minutes, then hose off. For step 2, you have to use their Metal-Prep after using the degreaser. The metal prep is not diluted, and poured into an empty windex sprayer bottle and sprayed onto each part, let sit 10-15 minutes, hose off. (there can be white powder on the part after using the metal prep, which a result of the chemical reactions). Step 3 is to brush on or spray on the rust preventive coating, using 2-3 thin coats. And don’t let it dry before each coat is applied.

Using this product on a frame job for a vehicle and upon opening the box, found it was a little soggy and the seal was broken. About 1/3 was missing and since there are no returns, I am not able to exchange for a full container.Would recommend as a product but be cautious of the return if you run into this issue.
