I’ve used many products over the years as an engine dressing and I have to say this is one of my favorites when applied correctly. I think the directions on the can leave out some necessary steps to avoid dust/gunk build up from over application, and a proper looking clean and Satin look. For engine dressings in the past I have used ; CDI Engine Detailer, Optimum Opti-bond gel applied with an air gun, Ultima Trim and tire shine, Chemical guys Barebones, Carpro Pearl, and I’m sure others I’m forgetting.I first clean the engine bay, once it’s cooled down, by spraying an all purpose degreaser ( Optimum Power Clean 3:1) all over and scrubbing any build up areas. Then rinse with the hose on the shower spray pattern, making sure not to directly spray into electrical connectors and components. Then I use a leaf blower to dry and blow all the water out the areas it pools up. With it still semi wet I lightly mist the entire bay with the can a out 2-3ft away. At this point it will look wet and greasy. Let that dwell for about 10 minutes then come back with a microfiber or paper towels and wipe the excess off . Really I wipe down everything that I can. This is key to avoid excess product that will attract and hold dust.It will still be really wet looking at this point, but no pooling of the detailer should remain. After a few heat cycles it will even out and you will have a ‘like new’ Satin sheen on all plastics/covers and a slight gloss on metal parts. Looks like a cars engine bay with 0 miles on it when done this way. Not a slick, sloppy wet and greasy engine bay like you see on used car lots. Future cleanings area easy as it does seem to create a barrier for the dust/grime to slide right off.I noticed on the ingredients it has D-Limonene, which is a citrus derived cleaner(among other uses) , and gives the detailer its scent, which I find to be the only con of the product. Think citrus mixed with motor oil as the scent to describe this product. However it does go away after a few drives. Will purchase again! See photo for my engine bay a week after application.

I found this product from a detail company on the internet. I love it. So far did 4 cars and still have some left in my first can. Last long and looks like new again.

I cleaned my 4 year old engine with Gunk and then used their “Engine Brite” to make it shine like this. I love this stuff, because it works just as they say
