It’s good stuff and works like it is supposed to very well. But the price keeps going up and I think they are taking advantage of the current situation. No way this stuff costs them anything close to this amount to make, label and sell. Considering it’s most likely made in china, they conveniently leave that out of the label. So who knows what country it’s really manufactured in.When my bottle runs out I’ll do without like I have before. It isn’t that necessary imnsho. they can take their price increases and shove it.

During 2020, like so many others out there, I got into vintage gaming… I’m getting up there in age so these were all consoles I had owned back in the day and had packed away. I also picked up some carts I had always wanted but didn’t have money for as a kid.Mainly used this on my Genesis, which was completely non-functional. I took it apart, cleaned the slot up with some ultra fine grit sand paper and IPA, cleaned the carts up – but still wasn’t working well. Read on some forums that Deoxit works wonders, got this little bottle and applied it. Vast improvement. Same with my N64.

I have a Hunter Fan controller that would hardly work. I kept sanding the contacts with little luck. Could not find a replacement except for one on ebay for over $100. One brush with Caig contact cleaner and it now works like new. Hence, it saved me over $100 with one use.

I’m using it to clean some super corroded contacts and it improved the situation, but it’s far from perfect. I will use it for some less corroded contacts to give it a fair shot. The bottle is quite small, though you don’t need to use much. Nevertheless, it is very costly per ounce

So this bottle was a lot smaller than I imagined. It’s like a small nail polish bottle. Despite its size, it works wonders! I used it on my ooglies toy from 1999 which was fully oxidized and crystallized due to old battery acid. It cleaned out the oxidization and melted the crystals on the battery terminals. It did not remove the rust but I didn’t except it to. Once it was cleaned, I tested it with some fresh batteries and the toy came back alive! My son was extremely happy to have another toy to mess around with.

This stuff cleaned up both the male and female RCA cable and plug on the cable and stereo receiver and took care of the problem that had started to develop. I will that there was a better way to apply this stuff in tight areas, but I can not think of one.

I couldn’t believe it. I had 2 expensive flashlights with corroded contacts from leaky batteries. I tried cleaning them and never got it to work. I brushed a few drops of Deoxit on the terminals and like a miracle the rust went away and I just scraped them a bit and put new batteries. Both flashlights light up like new. Great product.

I’ve been using DeoxiT and its Caig Laboratories predecessor, Cramolin, for more than forty years. I’ve tried other contact cleaners occasionally, but I’ve never found anything that works as well as this product. I’ve seen it bring back to life equipment that had been given up as hopeless. A little goes a very long way, so this tiny bottle can last for years. I carry it wherever I travel.
