I purchased the grape flavored Allstar fuel fragrance after trying a number of other similar products. The first was Power Plus “Groovy Grape” top lube. Hoped it would help with top end sealing in a pump gas motor but it didn’t, plus it had no smell. Then I moved to Klotz Octane Booster, an octane booster, top lube, fuel stabilizer and fragrance all in one. Interesting product, but whoever thought that stuff smelled “Racy” had no sense of smell. (Cloraseptic comes to mind)The Allstar Groovy Grape Fuel fragrance however does have a grape smell. Having said that I do have to agree with Jessica Rowe’s review, the grape smell is very “heavy” like a chemical/medicine smell and not “light” like the smell of Bubblicious or Kool-Aid. But it does come on quick, mixed 2oz in 5gal of pump gas and in the trip from the gas station back to my house when I parked in the garage you could already smell grape. I’ll try mixing the remainder at a lower ratio, see if that makes a difference.Exactitude of grapeness aside it ‘s very effective at counteracting the eyewatering smell of raw gas and oil. And when combined with a bit of Sta-Bil does what Klotz does at half the price. However, the engine temperature in my car was higher with the Sta-Bil/Allstar combo than with the Klotz, but you can read about that in my Klotz review at Octane Booster, 16 Ounce Pint I was hesitant to purchase the Allstar over Power Plus’s Groovy Grape. Turns out, while listed as an “Allstar” product this is actually Power Plus Lubricants Groovy Grape Fuel Fragrance, complete with their company info on the label. Allstar is a retailer of circle track products who resells Power Plus’s fuel fragrances. Both are sold on Amazon so, order either one, whichever is cheaper or available, either way you’ll receive exactly the same bottled product.UPDATE #1! …so it ended up that I added the Allstar Grape Fuel fragrance right before I put the car up for the winter. Fast forward about six months or so and I get the car out for the first time this year. Fired the car up and the Allstar Fuel Fragrance Grape Scent… was totally gone. You could smell a whiff just as the car lit off but after that, nothing but the smell of raw fuel and oil. Not sure exactly how quickly it looses its smell but it defiantly does loose it at some point!UPDATE #2! Ran all of last years fuel out of the car, took the last half of Grape Fuel Fragrance and mixed it with another 5 gallons of pump gas, this time without the Sta-Bil… put it in the car and… nothing. You could smell the Grape aroma in the bottle, not as strong as when I purchased it though, and even when it was mixed with the fuel there was still a grape smell. But out the exhaust there was no smell at all. So, this stuff definitely has a shelf life, and it’s less than six months, that I can say for sure!

This is an absolute waste of time do not waste your money on this product. Although the smell itself from the bottle smells like grape, which is wonderful. Unfortunately when you add it to your fuel, it is garbage. I added it to my motorcycle which is about 3 gallons and I 1st started with 2 cap fulls, nothing, then I put 4 cao fulls and just barely got a scent. One other thing that I’ve learned about this product is you will need to double wrap it in plastic or something smell proof because the stench that comes off of this bottle even capped is very very strong, It will stick up any room it is in if you do wrap it in something. Wish you got the same effect of it just sitting out, In your exhaust like it’s supposed to be. For the amount that this is for one bottle it is a complete waste. I had also purchased the cotton candy one as well and that one is as well a complete waste of time. That one is actually even worse it does not smell like cotton candy at all and when added to 20 gallons of fuel like it says to do in the description you get nothing out of your exhaust at all. That one is honestly the worst only reason why I am giving a two star is because of the smell of the grape and how good it smells just in the bottle alone.

In my personal opinion, the grape fuel scent is over priced for a small bottle that’s only good for 1 tank full(car). I figured to give it a try but unfortunately I will NOT be reordering this item again. Like I said this is just my personal opinion. Now back in my high school days when I had my muscle cars and no catalytic converters and no emmision restrictions maybe would be a better performer and more of a scent, so again just my personal opinion.

When I fire up my hot rod truck, the garage smells like a grape snocone. Much better than the exhaust smell. And a little bit goes a long way!

The scent is strong so use it lightly. The price is worth it.

Anyone who’s ever run stihl 2 stroke mix gas the smell is awful imo and needed something to lessen it. The fruit punch makes it almost comical. I’ll see if it fouls the plug or gums the exhaust screens. I’ve run 3 tanks through a fs 94r weedeater and a 200 br backpack blower. So far everything looks, runs, and smells great.

Love this smellI would run upper cylinder lube cherry scentedAnd grape fragrance fuel additive together in a blown methanol injected Chevy you can at least breathe and see with this stuff in there. Don’t spill it on you or you’ll smell it for days
