This filter is virtually identical to the Mopar filters that cost an exorbitant amount of money. I recently changed my oil in my ecodiesel Grand Cherokee and went with this instead and have no regrets. It fits perfectly and I have no doubt that it will do the job as well or better than the stock filter. My only concern was the dealer being able to say I used improper equipment in the event of some critical engine failure. In this unlikely event I believe the argument could be made that the afe filter works just as well. It’s nice to have an option to pay less than an overpriced filter from the stealership

Why is this filter so expensive? There’s nothing to it! The dealers want $60.00 for the Mopar filter made in China for Pete sakes! Really?????

Excellent filter. Fit perfectly in my 2015 Ram Ecodiesel. Looked at the quality of media as well as assembly, and compared to Mopar filter which was the original in the motor. Visually, the aFe seemed to be of much higher quality. Of course, reviews like this have only served to drive the price of the filter higher. As to performance, so far, so good. I’ll let you know in about 7500 more miles how it turns out!

I searched and searched for an after market filter for my 2015 Dodge Ram Eco Diesel and eventually found this. I personally find that $65 for the Mopar OEM filter is absolutely a rip off. I see little difference between this filter and the Mopar OEM filter. To any other Eco diesel owners, I recommend using Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-30 oil with a quart of Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer. You’ll get better mileage and use less DEF.

These cheap filters need to get reasonable. This one was much less than the dealer but right now they are raping us because they can. We don’t have any choice.

Great value as an alternative for the dealer bought filter. Last time I priced this filter from the dealer they wanted about $60 bucks or more! Fits my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.0L eco-diesel) perfectly. Saves quite a few bucks and no issues whatsoever that I’ve found.
