This Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil has anti-wear additives that gives you peace of mind. This Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic has the Licensed dexos®1 logo. This was used in 2014 Chevrolet volt along with the ACDelco GM Original Equipment PF65 Engine Oil Filter replacing the oil filter and draining and refilling the factory recommended 5W-30 Motor Oil was easy.Doing the Motor Oil replacement yourself gives you the satisfaction that you have filled the oil correctly and you can avoid unnecessary solicitations from the car dealer or local mechanic from additional unwarranted repairs. While you are changing engine oil you can take time to inspect necessary fluids and top it off if necessary all at the comfort of your home. BTW, The Chevy volt takes 3.7 Quarts, Check your dipstick often and do not overfill.Pricing and delivery was right on-time making engine oil replacement an painless process. Five stars! rating.

This oil is absolutely OK for Toyota cars calling for 0w-16 oil. It meets all the required specs. Amazon said it didn’t fit but that’s not correct. FYI – if you are driving a Toyota and your manual says to change the oil every ten thousand miles, I would recommend changing every 5 instead, at least for the first 25,000 miles. Let the dealership change the oil and fileter every 10 but change the oil at 5k and 15K yourself. After that, change both no later than every 7500 miles. Going 10K between oil changes even with synthetic is only advisable if you intend on purchasing a new car somewhere around 150,000 miles. Toyota doesn’t want you to get too many miles on your engine. Think about it.

This particular Valvoline oil is formulated to reduce intake valve deposits on GDI engines. I have been using it on several Hyundai GDI engines over the last four years and idle quality, smoothness of running are both good. As a maintenance function I do a proper CDC intake valve cleaning every 15K miles. See no change in performance/mileage with the engine so I presume there is little build up on the intake valves. On previously used oils I was getting a rough idle and stumble if I didn’t run the CDC cleaner every 10K miles. Short of pulling the intake manifold and scoping the back side of the valves I can only presume this oil is helping with the typical GDI intake valve deposit build up.

Used Valvoline in the past, and this one claims to be good for reducing intake valve deposits on GDI engines. Our Chevy 2022 Silverado 2.7 L turbo is such an engine, so we hope this Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil Dexos-1 Gen 3 performs good, and Amazon seems to be the only one having it so far. In that case we will keep it regularly. Will update if is not as expected.

I use this oil for my Rav 4 hybrid with AWD, I check oil every 500 miles after its 4000 miles mark. Oil remained clean after 5000 and only slightly dirty after 6000 miles. I finally changed the oil after 9000 miles. Still, the old oil not looking too bad. Excellent oil for my engine.
