This is the latest part number for the amber colored power steering fluid that was used in my 1992 GMC Sierra 1500This is the normal outdoor temperature fluid. There is a special fluid for extreme cold outdoor temps but this is not that fluid. I put a new power steering pump on my truck. I flushed the system with Valvoline power steering fluid by using 2-2.5 quarts of Valvoline PS fluid. Then I ran almost two quarts of this GM fluid through it. I raised the front wheels off the ground and the”manual flush method” as I saw on youtube. Then I bled the system by having the wheels raised off the ground and slowly tuning lock to lock. I let the truck sit overnight and I bled it again. New pump is nice and quiet and also I feel good that I put the GM fluid in it. I’m sure I am good for another 28 years! I’m not saying that Valvoline is bad. I just wanted to make sure. The pump is a pain to replace on the 4.3 Liter engine. If something does happen to the new pump, I can show my receipts showing I used the correct GM fluid.

Used this product in 1998 Cadillac Deville where the steering was hard at low engine rpm when parking, i.e., at idle engine speeds. Flushed out the power steering system, and refilled with this product and it works fine again, as it should.

Perfect PS fluid for my new Pump and Rebuilt rack

This is what recommended in most Duramax power steering pumps, I use to use atf, but made a switch to this, itβs expensive yes, but quieter pump and no whining so Iβll use this.

As advertised

It’s oowiii and goowii…..slippy and sliddy. Stops the squeakky pump quicker than a Franklin to the ex.

Like to stick with Delco especially since it wasn’t a complete drain just a top off.
