This product is on par with ANY high end brand advertised by those high dollar companies.Johnsenβs brand has been a leader in the automotive aftermarket car care business since 1928. Starting with packaging brake fluid, I also found this information: Johnsenβs has been proud to be a part of both, the Tony Stewart and the John Force racing teams since 2002. Both racers have won multiple championships in their respective fields during our partnerships. If these teams trust their product at the speeds they run, I’m very comfortable trusting it in my daily drivers!!!

Flushed two vehicles with a gallon. Smelled and looked like, well, brake fluid. The reason for the 4 star rating is that my cheap brake fluid tester (the kind that basically tests for water in the fluid by using conductivity, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4%) showed 1% for Johnsons DOT3, and 0% for Prestone DOT3– both tests from new and sealed, just opened containers. Johnsons 1 gallon and Prestone 32oz. Previously Motorcraft DOT3 was 0% also, some months earlier (16oz container).Don’t know if the cheapie test is particularly significant, but I would feel better with 0% reading for the Johnsons brake fluid which I used anyway– before brake fluid flush one vehicle was reading 4% (max), the other 3%; the former also was high (change fluid now) on copper strip test, the latter nearly high on copper.Retest of the vehicles will be in about a month, after water and copper have a chance to diffuse into the brake fluid volume; expectation is 2-3% for water and low on copper scale– brake system isn’t flushed out really well by the most common methods since the caliper pistons are not compressed into their bores.

Kinda thin for brake fluid but it still works

I had to replace my ABS valve body on my 2012 Chevy 2500 HD. I refilled the entire system with this brake fluid. Seems to work just fine and my entire system has been flushed. If the fluid fails I will update this post. Installed summer 2020.

Thank you

Why pay more for brake fluid, if you are not racing you do not need anymore than dot 3
